My aim is to distil the situations that I witness, situations where people and their environment are one. I want to condense my experience of those places where people converge. This convergence is about equilibrium, and balance is found in the most ordinary, a balance between light and dark, between peace and confusion. But people are never ordinary, and I learn from conversations on these journeys. While other documenters may look for the sensational and the new, I am interested in finding timeless ideas and images of humanity with the purpose of elevating the commonplace.

Although these works are 'conversation pieces' in the traditional sense, the method of recording is modern, using a combination of digital and analogue. Themes and stories are illustrated with diverse media ranging from collage to montage, from drawing to photography, from the hand-written to collecting audio. And while the traditional conversation pieces tended to be "small works illustrating groups of people in informal settings" These tend to be much bigger works, comprising of many panels for large scale exhibition. This is a constant learning process and as new themes are developed they shall be broadcast on this website.
