What Kind of People are You?

Some people have a natural interest in all other people. They are, in effect, people person, or people watcher. They take a keen interest in everyone about them, are curious to find out more about them and anxious for interact with them. Your score indicates that you are most certainly not one of those people.

You are what are sometimes, perhaps unkindly, referred to as a loner, or someone who likes to keep themselves to themselves, or stand somewhat aloof from others. While you do enjoy the company of others, this is usually restricted to a very close and exclusively small circle of family and friends.

This is fine just an s long as it is what makes you happy and provides what you like out of like and do not frustrate your ambitions.

It is, however, worth remembering that no one can be an island entirely. We all depend, to a certain extent, on their people to make both our personal and business lives happy and successful. The more we interact with people both on a one-to-one and group basis, the happier and more successful all aspects of our lives will be. This does not necessarily have to involve going to all kinds of social gatherings having empathy with others having regard for their feelings and making an effort to get to know all others, irrespective of their class if status and gaining their respect.

Constipation and its Causes

Infrequent, hard, or difficult bowel movements are all termed constipation. The condition may be simple, and last only a short time, or be chronic and last months, years, or much of a lifetime.

Constipation is young people is often due to lack of bulky foods in the diet. Without bulk to stimulate the muscular activity in the colon, the content moves slowly. This allows additional time for water absorption and dehydration of the colon content. Insufficient water intake can be another cause. There reason constipation is more common during hot weather is that the body absorbs weather from the contents of the colon to replace the large amount lost as perspiration. Failure to heed the urge for a bowel movement is another cause of constipation. The undigested matter stays in the rectum and loses additional water to the blood.

Older people often develop constipation because of loss of tone in muscles of the colon wall. This is the “sluggish bowel” you hear about. Constipation is often accompanied by gas formation behind the trapped content this due to fermentation of the waste by bacteria which are always present in the colon. Inflammation of other parts of the digestive system may upset colon activity and result in constipation. These inflammations include a diseased appendix, gall bladder disease, and ulcer. A cancer or tumor in the colon, causing a block or obstruction, traps the content and ma cause alternating constipation and diarrhea.

Why does the head grow faster than the feet?

Motor development is the acquisition of the muscular control necessary for coordinated physical activity. It follows two general principles. The first is the cephalo-caudal principle, which means that part of the body closer to the head develop before that part closer to the feet. For example, as infants learned to crawl, they first do so by using their more developed arms and only later their feet.

The second factor governing motor development is the proximodistal principle, which means of that part closer to the center of the infant’s body develop before parts farther away. For example, in reaching for objects, infants first use their more develop arm s and then their fingers, whose control develops later.

Much of the sequence in developing early motor skills is governed by a process known as maturation. Maturation is a development occurs in a sequential and orderly fashion because of a genetic plan. A child first step is a good example of maturation, since it has been provided by the development and control of many sets of muscular activities. The sequence of motor development and control that results in walking is, to a major extent, controlled by maturation.

The Good Environment

Environment, sometimes referred to as “nature” is the descriptive term applied to the factors, surrounding condition, influences, and forces, which modify and exert an influence on growth and development from the instant conception. It refers to the sum total of external conditions and potentially capable of influencing an organism. These external conditions and factors which may modify and influence and  development includes the physical, mental, and moral agencies, which surround the indicial; the domestic, educational, and social influences with which he comes into the contact Environment is the field in which the individual’s hereditary traits and capacities are developed. Heredity supplies the raw materials upon which environment acts.

Heredity accounts for the general native equipment of the individual, while environment, while environment provides the experiences or opportunities for growth and development of these heredity traits and capacities. The individual possesses numerous potentials, which may or may not be manifest them and become actualities depending upon the environment surrounding the growing individual. It inherited trails and tendencies, both physical and mental, may be accentuated, altered, controlled, and perhaps even definitely eliminated by the environment.

Colorblindness

Would a person wear res strip slacks and a blue plaid shirt and orange rubber shoes? He might if he had color blindness. Color blindness is the inability to distinguish two or more shade in the spectrum. There are two kinds of color blindness. Monochromats have total color blindness, their world looks like a black and white movie. This kind of color blindness is rare and results from individuals having the only rods or only one kind of function cone. Dichromats usually have a trouble distinguishing red from green because they have just two kinds of cones. This is an inherited condition, found mostly in males.

You might think that colorblind people would quickly discover that they have a problem. In fact, many do not find out until quite late in life: they assume that others see the world exactly as they do. One boy’s dichromatic condition was first discovered when he told his mother that he was being chased home by a big green dog. If not for this, the boy might not have discovered that he was colorblind until much later in life.

I can see this clock but why can’t I tell the time?

As walked into the hotel, I felt an incredible pain in my head. I am 28 years old, a successful journalist, in excellent health, but something terrible is happening, I glace at the clock on the wall, I can see the handle of the clock, but no matter how hard I stare at the hands, I cannot figure out the time. Like a small child, I say out loud to myself, “The big hand is on twelve and the little hand is on eight,” as I hear my describing the position of the hands I figure out that is the 8o’clock I am startle to discover that I can tell time by sound but not by sight.

‘Steve Fishman’, the registration clerk calls my name, and it means my room is ready. I glance down to pick up my suitcase and notice that one of my shoelaces is untied. As I have done a thousand times, I reach down and pick up the loose laces. For some reason, when I look at my fingers, I can’t make them move in the right sequence to tie my shoes. I close my eyes to try to calm myself. Without looking at my gingers, I try again. Somehow, my fingers move automatically in the right sequence and my shoelace is tied. I can tie my shoelaces by touch but not my sight.

Mainframe Operating Systems

At the high end are the operating systems for the main frames, those room sized computers still found in major corporate data centers. These computers distinguish themselves from personal computers in terms of their I/O capacity. A main frame with 1000 disks and thousands of gigabytes of data is not unusual; a personal computer with these specifications would be odd indeed. Mainframes are also making something of a comeback as high end. Web servers, servers for large-scale electronic commerce sites, and servers for business-to-business transactions.

The operating systems for mainframes are heavily oriented toward processing many jobs at once, most of which need prodigious amounts of I/O. they typically offer three kinds of services: batch, transaction processing, and timesharing. These factions are closely related: mainframe operating systems often perform all of them .An example mainframe operating system is OS/390, a descendant of OS/360

Shy Girl?

Create opportunities for your child to interact with other children. Children are born with a certain temperament. Your daughter may be the shy and timid type, as opposed to the sociable and extroverted child. Although research shows that a child’s temperament is relatively stable throughout childhood, there is also evidence that temperament becomes more flexible with experience.

To some extent, the fact that your daughter is only in your home can explain her inability to relate with peers. It is also possible that adults adjust to your daughter more than she or her peers are willing to do so in social exchanges. If you observe adults frequently giving in to her wishes and whims, this may not be a very good sign, and may actually indicate some problems in your child’s emotional understanding and social skills. You may need to seek some professional help for a psychologist, developmental pediatrician, or child psychiatrist. Any one of these professionals can do quick assessment and refer you to the appropriate services, as necessary.

Smile Makeover

Smiling, which usually feels good, can also make you feel self-conscious if your teeth are less than white. But a slew of new testaments and products can keep you from wanting to stifle that grain. Here are the most effective teeth whiteners and brighteners.

Get whiter teeth at home. Strips, stray, toothpaste are really works. Here, our experts reveal their favorites, along with advice on who should see a dentist before considering the DIY approach.

Why do teeth change color?  With age, the enamel on teeth becomes thinner and more transparent; the inner layer called dentin, looks darker. Teeth absorb colored liquids throughout your life. Coffee, tea, cola and red wine are frequently culprits, along with more tenacious tobacco stains.

How do at home whiteners work? Peroxide is the key ingredient in most whiteners. This safe-for-the-mouth bleaching agent forms bubbles on enamel that lift away stains. The higher the concentration of peroxide and the longer you leave it on your teeth, the whiter they’ll get.

A Personal Revolution?

In perspective, each semester for the last dozen years, I have tried to introduce several hundred college students to modern media theory, research, effects, and professional practices by teaching the 101 Intro course in my field. One lesson I learned from my charges is that novel technologies grow old fast. It would puzzle university freshmen if I called e-mail and Web pages “new media.” Satellite reception, Wi-Fi, laptops, cell phones, PDAs, digital photography, and the Internet are as familiar to eighteen-year-olds as pencils and paper; they know what it is to snope out a fact, wiki a term paper, and twitter a class session, even if their parents (or their teachers) don’t.

A staple of my classroom instruction, however, which I did not foresee having to revise for the length of my career, was that mass media products are created by industries. Print press stories and editorials, icons of photojournalism, Hollywood movies, and HBO television series alike are produced by large, impersonal, megareturn-seeking corporations that crave “mass” audiences. Certainly, the intended consumers may be selected for their demographics and psychographics. A magazine’s target population segment, for example, might be “career oriented cosmopolitan Hispanic women under thirty.” Political media consultants may design a television ad for “soccer moms.” Still, if Disney, Merck, the Sierra Club, or the Republican National Committee seek niche audiences for some of their messages, we are nevertheless talking about larg e organizations trying to persuade via mass media signifi cant numbers of people. In contrast, in the early days of the American republic, the founders considered a “press” to be a handcranked machine.
